On June 13, Chipolbrok celebrated the naming and delivery of its new 62,000-DWT multipurpose heavy-lift vessel, the "De An", at Jiangsu Kouan Shipyard. As the seventh ship in this advanced series, its commissioning coincides with the company’s 74th anniversary, reinforcing Chipolbrok’s commitment to the China-Poland Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Action Plan (2024–2027).
The ceremony was a vibrant spectacle—colorful flags fluttered, lion dances energized the crowd, and drums echoed jubilantly. As the red drape fell, the vessel was christened "De An", receiving blessings and gifts from its godmother. A champagne bottle smashed against the hull, sparking a glittering shower—a symbolic gesture for good fortune, like an athlete’s spirited high-five. Brilliant smoke plumes soared, heralding the ship’s bright and dynamic future.
Leaders from Chipolbrok, COSCO Shipping Development, and Kouan Shipyard delivered speeches, while dignitaries from the China Classification Society, Hong Kong Marine Department, ship design institutes, and equipment suppliers witnessed the milestone.
The "De An" will soon depart from Taicang Port, Jiangsu, carrying 12 sets of wind power equipment to Adabiya Port, Egypt. According to Chipolbrok’s January–May data, the company’s Yangtze River Delta export cargo volume grew by 2.6% year-on-year, with the region accounting for 90% of its Belt and Road Initiative shipments. The booming manufacturing sector in the Delta, with its strong production capacity and market demand, continues to drive Chipolbrok’s service expansion and fleet upgrades.
