Moving automotive factory equipment from 7 locations across Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic to China is difficult.
In 2025, POLBROK completed a major relocation project and received high praise. The project, which took more than a year to finish, required 203 cross-border truck journeys to deliver the cargo to the ports located in Hamburg, Koper, and Gdansk. From there, 109 containers, including 34 Out-of-Gauge containers, were shipped in six vessels to Chongqing Port.
In March 2024, POLBROK won the relocation project for a Chinese automotive group. It formed a project team and created a whole process logistics plan. The first cargo weighed 408.32 tons and had a volume of 2600 cubic meters. The cargo was disassembled and packed at the Nosovice factory in the Czech Republic, then transported to a warehouse in Poland by 53 truck trips for containerization, and subsequently shipped from the Port of Gdansk. It was dispatched ahead of schedule and successfully delivered on May 24. The volume of the second batch of cargo is four times that of the first batch. Through careful planning by the project team, the export process was completed by the end of July. A total of 107 pallets and wooden crates were loaded into 39 40-foot containers, and the shipment departed for the Far East in September.
Due to prior cooperation, POLBROK began moving cargo in parallel from 5 locations in Germany and an Opel factory in Austria in December 2023. Given the European holiday season, the project team adopted a dual-port shipment strategy: cargo from Germany was consolidated and shipped out of Hamburg, while cargo from Austria was dispatched via Koper. Confronted with challenges like tight transportation capacity ahead of the holidays and difficulties in package identification, the team proactively coordinated efforts to identify equipment, match relevant information, and ensure the smooth execution of packaging and customs declaration processes.
For the Austria part, the original packing company couldn’t finish on time. POLBROK urgently switched suppliers, moving empty containers from Poland to Slovenia to secure special-sized containers transportation. They also created precise customs packing lists, booked separate shipments, and ensured timely dispatch.
In March 2025, the project team optimized the plan. They moved Austrian cargo to the Czech Republic for packing before shipping it via Gdansk. The final batch weighed 336 tons and had a volume of 1718 cubic meters. Packed into 27 containers, all were shipped in May and arrived at Chongqing Port on July 30.
As a key pillar of Chipolbrok’s logistics platform in Central and Eastern Europe, POLBROK leveraged its years of regional service experience to successfully complete this complex relocation project, further expanding its capabilities in multimodal transport and specialized logistics services.
