Chipolbrok Signs Cooperation Agreement with Saudi NEOM Port

On October 30th, Chipolbrok M/V PILECKI completed its unloading operation at Saudi Arabias NEOM Port, discharging the final six sets of wind power equipment for the NEOM wind farm projectpart of the worlds largest green hydrogen plant.

A ceremony was held atthe berth of M/V PILECKIat NEOM Port on October 27th.Chipolbroksproject team, headsof Port Authorityand the consigneegathered to witness the unloading of the first wind bladefrom the vessel. Captain Norbert Kolff of the vesselreceived a commemorative cup presented by the port, symbolizing the successful deliveryof the maritime transport for the green hydrogen facility’s wind power project. It is reported that the final shipment of equipment departed from Taicang Port in China during the National Day holiday, carrying a total of six sets of blades, main engine hubs, and towersections.

On the morning of October 28th, representatives ofChipolbrok’s project teamsigned a strategic cooperation agreement with NEOM Port. Both parties agreed to carry out deeper port-shipping cooperation based on regional projects.  Ms. Melissa Blake, Port Operations Manager of NEOM, stated that Chipolbrok’s professional services during the project execution left a deep impression on her — especially the company’s arrangement for its own personnel to unload all equipment in an efficient and safe manner. The scientific unloading plan and smooth execution also provided valuable references and experience for the port’s related service operations.

On September 3, 2023, Chipolbrok’s M/V KRASZEWSKI departed from Taicang Port, China, carrying the first shipment of equipment for the wind power project of NEOM’s green hydrogen plant in Saudi Arabia. This marked the launch of Chipolbrok’s prestigious task to sequentially transport all 251 sets of wind power equipment and 1.41 million cubic meters of unit equipment for the project. Over the past two-plus years, approximately 17 Chipolbrok vessels have participated in the project transportation, completing a total of 41 voyages.
